FINE ARTS CLUB

Ours is a history of working to tap and improve the talents hidden in students and provide them with opportunities to show case their talents. Our club reaches out to students with its various activities and students enthusiastically participate in these activities.Fuelled by the spirit of tradition and secularism, as per our College mission statement, the Fine Arts Club organizes many celebrations such as Women's Day, Onam, Pongal, Christmas and Ramzan celebrations.

ACTIVITIES OF FINE ARTS CLUB

This year Kalakiran & Chainika were conducted on the same day on August 18, 2018 due to the demise of the Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on August 17, 2018.

KALAKIRAN  2018-19

Kalakiran an intra Collegiate Cultural Fiesta, were the students of different majors enthusiastically compete with each other. Celebrities from the film and television fields are invited for the occasion. The event was inaugurated by our Correspondent Thiru L. Palamalai IAS (Retd.), Ms.Sri Vardhini, Playback Singer (Telugu) and Mr. Vishnu Serial Actor, Vijay T.V and Dubsmash Artist.

Fifteen On Stage events and Eight Off Stage events were conducted. On August 03, 2018 Off Stage events were conducted. Newspaper Dress and Soap Carving were the highlights of the Off Stage events. The Preliminary rounds for the On Stage events were conducted on August 08, 2018. Western Dance and Miss C. T.T.E sought the attention of the audience. The Department of Commerce bagged the Overall Championship.

CHAINIKA 2018-19

For Chinika five Off Stage and eight On Stage events were conducted. Students from various colleges participated in the inter collegiate cultural fiesta. Nearly 35 colleges and around 700 students participated in various events The Overall Championship Trophy was won by Justice Basheer Ahamed Sayeed College for Women, (Shift –II) Chennai.

 Special Achievements

  • Won the Overall Championship in NEHERIKA 2K17 organized by Anna Adarsh College for Women, Chennai.
  • Won the Overall Championship in PINNACLE POTENTIA FEST – 2K18 held at Sree Muthukumaraswamy College, Chennai.
  • Won the Overall Runner Up in CHARISMA ‘ 18 conducted by SIET College for Women, Chennai.
  • Ms. Sherin  Rosy. J. M of III B. Sc Maths, won the Ms. Phantasia Award (Overall Winner –Girls) in PHANTASIA held at Patrician College of Arts and Science, Chennai.
